hello chiho

i was browsing through an old issue(september 2007) of departures the other day and came across an article on chiho aoshima.
i never payed much attention her to her work because i always assumed it was takashi murakami's (also her mentor) right off the bat.
however, after an in depth look you can see her work with evil kawaii inspirations. her unusual pieces have ranged up to 8 foot high, without ever attending art school.

her words, "i really enjoy drawing the dark, disturbing worlds. of course, in the end, even those should be cute"
